Day 1 - Transfer from airport Sofia to Bansko - a picturesque old town situated at the foot of Pirin Mountain Range. The architecture of the town reminds of the architecture of the Bulgarian monasteries. Many of the houses date back to the National Revival Period (end of 18th c. - beginning of 19th c.). The town is cradle of some of the best Bulgarian icon painters from that period.

Day 2 - After breakfast departure to the nearby village of Dobarsko (16km), famous with its church from the 12th century with mural paintings dating back to 1622. In the yard of the Church, watch a live folklore performance and taste some delicious culinary local specialties. Back to Bansko in the early afternoon. Free time. Dinner in a typical local tavern - BBQ specialties from the Bulgarian cuisine. An excellent live performance by men's vocal group. Overnight in Bansko.

Day 3 - Departure to Sofia. On the way visit the Rila Monastery, situated in the Rila Mountain range. The monastery was founded in the 10th century by St. Ivan Rilski. The oldest building, the Hrelyo Tower, situated in the monastery yard, dates back to 1385. Visit the beautiful church and the museum. Lunch with fresh grilled trout in a restaurant near the monastery. Continue to Sofia. Sightseeing tour of Sofia, the capital of Bulgaria, a town that is considered the second oldest town in Europe. Visit the St. Alexander Nevski Cathedral - the biggest cathedral on the Balkan Pensinsula. Dinner in a local restaurant with folklore show and excellent cuisine. Overnight in Sofia.

Day 4 - After breakfast transfer to Sofia airport.
